Background

[SWEATLANA]

This is where all the hard work happens. At the heart of the [solidcore] resistance workout, is their unique reformer, sweatlana. It’s a stationary platform with a carriage that slides back and forth on wheels. Their reformers utilize eight springs that allow for various levels of tension and resistance training, providing limitless possibilities for muscle failure. [Sweatlana] only works as hard as the athlete. Up your springs to up the resistance and the [results].

MUSCLE FOCUS CALENDAR

[solidcore] classes are designed with a rotating monthly muscle focus to maximize the workout and deliver balanced bodies. Every day they pair 2 muscle focuses together, an upper body and a lower body. Every class, unless otherwise noted, features a core warmup and oblique section of class. They also have a monthly muscle focus, which highlights the overarching muscle focus that is highly present throughout the month.

Objectives

The [solidcore] ethic embodies strength through putting in the work and sweating it out. Every workout centers around their unique reformer: [sweatlana], a machine purposefully built to push an athlete to their limits. As a bespoke machine, though, it comes with a learning curve. With this project, we're looking for someone to lay out the unique components and how to utilize them in an easy to understand way through the creation of an infographic that the [solidcore] team can use to clearly illustrate what [sweatlana] is.

The goal of this project is to create a two-sided infographic flyer. For the front, you'll use photos of [sweatlana] to break down the functional parts of the machine. One of the advantages of [sweatlana] is the many different ways you can customize the use of the machine to different exercises. By adjusting the springs, handle positioning, or stationary platform anchor side, one can target different muscles alternating between various levels of tension and resistance training. The front side should be purely anatomical, in regards to the parts of the machine that is. The back side should showcase  the versatility of [sweatlana] by illustrating not only how you can target different muscle focuses with this machine but also how the [solidcore] workout ecosystem maximizes this potential through its muscle focus calendar. It should strike a balance between the benefits of targeting different muscle focuses and how this machine and our workout can provide that balance.

While the primary goal of this infographic is informational, it should be presented in a playful and engaging manner. The [solidcore] voice is bold, like their mentality under the blue lights – it pushes boundaries, shows strength, and builds community. It also has fun, with tongue-in-cheek relatability. This should come through both in your design and the accompanying copy. You'll work with the [solidcore] team to refine this, and can refer to the brand guidelines to inform your pitch.
