Background

There’s no denying that humans have done some extraordinary things in our short time on Earth. Unfortunately, too often those gains have come at the cost of the environment, the effects of which are only just beginning to be felt across the world.

Author, entrepreneur and sustainability advocate Thomas Addaquay wants to change that through grassroots, crowd-sourced innovation, and he’s inviting the Tongal community to help spread the message with a 60-second book trailer for The Wealth of Individuals.

The Wealth of Individuals is all about empowering the public to help grow and nurture the green economy. Through reading The Wealth of Individuals and exploring its companion site, GreenXPrize.com, people will be able to live more sustainable lives as well as generate wealth in the ‘green’ economy, by working directly with other like-minded innovators and sponsors.

Be a part of the change you wish to see in the world: create a book trailer for The Wealth of Individuals and GreenXPrize that will help spread the message of sustainable technology, eco-friendly innovation, and a healthier planet for all.

GreenXPrize is an online contest platform designed to inform, educate and activate an audience of passionate consumers. Contests will allow anyone with a good, green idea the opportunity to make money for bringing new green tech and sustainable innovation ideas to brands and sponsors on the site.

Objectives

The goal of this project is to produce one (1) 60-second book trailer for The Wealth of Individuals that promotes the book’s message of re-thinking economic principles for a greener future. The Video should reference GreenXPrize and encourage viewers to improve the planet while earning money.

Through links to GreenXPrize and the project hashtag #GreenWealth, your book trailer should encourage viewers to not only purchase a copy of The Wealth of Individuals but also to sign up for the GreenXPrize email list and share the book and site over social media.

The Pitch winner will be provided with a manuscript of The Wealth of Individuals prior to the Video stage.

You are encouraged to be creative in your Video: feel free to use animation (2D, whiteboard, stop motion, etc.) or stock footage to help illustrate the messages of The Wealth of Individuals.
