Background

Did you know that 1 MILLION people attend Weight Watchers meetings EVERY WEEK!? But with the rise of foodtrackers and fitbands, individuals are starting to think they can manage their weight alone. Well, Weight Watchers has seen their program work for the past 50 years. That’s why they need your help to get the word out about “the magic of the meeting” and how it’s better to do it together.

Your authentic and inspirational Video should:

NOTE: Weight Watchers will provide contact info for their star leaders and locations to the Pitch Winner and will assist in coordinating making the connection with them (BUT if you're a filmmaker and you know other people you'd like to feature who have had great Weight Watchers experiences, include that in your Pitch!).

===SPLIT===

Make and authentic and inspirational Video for Weight Watchers that accomplishes these things:

NOTE: Weight Watchers will provide contact info for their star leaders and locations to the Pitch Winner and will assist in coordinating making the connection with them (BUT if you're a filmmaker and you know other people you'd like to feature who have had great Weight Watchers experiences, include that in your Pitch!).

Objectives

The goal of this project is to create an authentic and inspirational 30-90 second Video, with a 15-30 second cutdown, that captures the magic of the Weight Watchers meeting and encourages people to sign up!

Demystify the experience of a Weight Watchers meeting in a way that makes people feel like this is a weight-loss solution that could be for them. Help Weight Watchers change people's perceptions of what really happens in the meeting and invite them to experience it for themselves.

People with little or no experience with the Weight Watchers brand have no idea what happens in a Weight Watchers meeting and assume the worst. Some think Weight Watchers has public weigh-ins, liken it to an AA meeting, or picture a circle of old ladies holding hands and talking about their feelings. They think Weight Watchers is outdated and not for them. In reality, once people actually attend Weight Watchers meetings, they realize what a powerful tool it is for helping them lose weight, and they become true believers.

NOTE: The ONE 30-90 second video and ONE 15-30 second cutdown video are both due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.

--Key Marketing Messages: Call-To-Action: to sign up for a Weight Watchers meeting!

--Target Audience:

Weight Watchers current members are women 45-55, primarily Caucasian, who are looking to lose 40+ pounds. Now Weight Watchers is looking to recruit women on the younger side – age 35-54, with an aspirational, creative sweet spot of 35-40. She is overweight by 20+ lbs and has an affinity for seeking help (via apps, commercial plans or devices) vs going at it on her own. She is either a lapsed Weight Watchers member, or someone who doesn’t have firsthand experience with the brand, but has positive perceptions and is partially informed about what we have to offer.

CASTING NOTE: Talent in your video should be 35-45 years old.
