Background

The @TongalTeam Social Crew is a 3-month pilot initiative designed to build Tongal’s Instagram presence by featuring the work of our global creative community. The goal here is to establish a “by creators, for creators” environment, so potential Crew members should consider the kind of content they’d most like to see on the channel - and how their skillset can contribute to the conversation - when pitching.

In addition to stand-alone content, you are also encouraged to consider serialized or recurring content frameworks when pitching. We are completely open to seeing what you can uniquely bring to the table, but here are some references to get your wheels turning:

TONGAL’S INSTAGRAM CONTENT BUCKETS and INSPIRATION:

Objectives

Update April 3rd: The pitch submission window has been extended to give everyone more time to pitch and create their Sample Social Asset. We're excited to see more out-of-the-box ideas and creative executions for what you can uniquely bring to the channel. If you've already submitted to the project, rest assured your pitch is still in consideration, but we welcome you to rework your pitch before the new deadline if you'd like to try something new.

The goal of this project is to identify up to 3 Tongal community members to join our elite @TongalTeam Social Crew and create engaging, fun, and original social posts for Tongal’s Instagram channel. Ideal Crew members should be Instagram-fluent and possess video, animation, photo, and/or design skills, while also bringing their unique talents and personality to the channel. Jump down to Background/Additional Details for even more creative direction.

Your focus will be on creating great content, but Tongal is also committed to promoting the creator behind each post. For this reason, every post you make will be credited back to you, making this a great opportunity to grow your own Instagram following while building out a social marketing portfolio.

HOW IT WILL WORK:

By joining Tongal’s Social Crew, you’re signing up to create content for Tongal’s Instagram channel on an ongoing basis over the next 3 months (May, June, July 2020). Selected creators will have direct access to bounce new ideas off our internal team, from stand-alone posts or series to Instagram Stories. Additionally, Tongal may have an idea for a post or series which we put out to the Crew to see who is willing and able to execute on the idea.
