Background

The best thing about Tongal is our creative community, and we want to make sure our TikTok account reflects that by featuring a wide variety of our community members. Our main goal is to feature content “by creators, for creators”, so when pitching, think about what type of videos you’d most like to see on our TikTok (or your own For You Page).

We are open to both stand-alone content or the start to a great series. We’re also flexible on the video’s duration, but ideally the video should be kept short enough to keep the average audience retention rate high.

Objectives

Tongal is officially on TikTok, and we’d like to share the new platform with our favorite creators – other Tongalers! We’re looking for up to TEN original videos about filmmaking or content creation that we can post on our TikTok feed, and ideally from ten different creators too, so that our TikTok channel best reflects the wide variety of talent on Tongal. We want everyone to be represented on our channel, whether you’re a writer, filmmaker, animator, editor, or a creative of any sort.

Any video about a filmmaking or another content creation topic you think other creators would find engaging or educational is fair game, and we’re open to any format of video – talking-to-camera, animation, behind-the-scenes, you name it.

Tongal is committed to promoting the creator behind each video as well, so your own TikTok account (if you use TikTok) will be tagged in the post, making this a great opportunity to grow your own TikTok following and connect with the Tongal community at large.

While you’re free to pitch us something completely original, here are a few ideas to get your wheels turning:
