Tongalers, we’re looking for one filmmaking team (3-4 people) to capture a client activation for us from April 11 - 15 in Chicago for Star Wars Celebration. While we can't reveal too much about the activation, we’ll be filming subjects in our booth and will need the following set up:

If you’re interested and available, please read below for more information.

Objectives

The goal of this project is to find one film crew to capture a client activation for us from April 11 - 15 in Chicago for Star Wars Celebration.

Please Note: By participating in this open bid project, creators acknowledge that the sponsor is under no obligation to select a winning bid. Though most open bid projects on our platform do move forward with a selected bid, we will notify you in the event the sponsor decides not to award any bids via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all open bid submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the sponsor and the project team.

Details

This is an open bid project and consists of a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: PITCH - This is an open bid project, so you’ll get to set your overall budget proposal. You can download the budget template here. We are looking for bids between $15,000 and $20,000.

Submit your pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the sponsor why you should be selected to cover this event using:

The most compelling pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive a production advance. Please note the payment of the pitch award is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Additionally, upon satisfying the criteria laid out in your winning pitch, providing the necessary release forms, and providing all assets required by the sponsor the pitch winner will receive his/her final payment.

For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the project is complete

PHASE 2: VIDEO - Once the Pitch Phase is complete, the winner will cover our activation from April 11 - 15 in Chicago. You will need to provide hard drives of the footage each day as well as cut downs of the daily segments (20 - 30).

ASSETS DELIVERY - You must also provide all project files, editing sequences, and a 1080p .mov master file, using a ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec in order to submit final payment. In addition, to the project files you are also required to provide all raw footage on a hard drive. You will be responsible for the costs associated with the hard drive and shipping.
