Background

Objectives

Ever since we were first introduced to the Scranton-based staff of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in 2005, The Office has become one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time, and even though the finale aired over 10 years ago, the series' diehard fans continue to rewatch episodes on Peacock, and share memes from the show on social media. Everyone's favorite regional manager Michael Scott once said, "Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy. Both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me." Turns out, that matter has been put to bed (that's what she said).

Whether it's a play on what makes a Bestdish Mentsch or the best conversation starter at the party, Peacock is looking for fresh, funny, Dundie-worthy concepts for social posts that will live on The Office's official social handles. Your concepts should resonate with the show's global fandom and get them excited to rewatch the series on Peacock. We are NOT looking for clips of the show (that's already all over the Internet). Instead, think about unique, thumb-stopping ways to make the characters and themes from The Office relevant on social media. That could be anything from scene recreations with sock puppets, creative editing mashups, or even something fully animated (like this stop motion latte art video, for example). As a fan of The Office, what would YOU like to see on social media?

You CAN use The Office's iconic theme song in your concepts, but you CANNOT make up new scenes or scenarios between characters (e.g. we can't explore if Jim & Pam lived through the pandemic). Pretty much everything else is fair game though.

To quote Michael Scott quoting Wayne Gretzky, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." So think long and hard about your concepts (that's what she said) and show us why Michael Scott is the World's Best Boss.
