Dear multi-talented members of the Tongal Community: What are you reading? What are you searching for online? What are you an expert at or most interested in? We want you to tell us about it (and then write about it for the Tongal Blog).
The Tongal Blog features a mix of Tongal-centric information alongside more general interest topics related to creativity, entertainment, video production, and the advertising industry. Since you are our target audience, take a look at what we’ve already published, and think about the types of stories you and your creative peers would be interested in reading. The final blog posts will likely be published between March and June 2018, so you’re also encouraged to consider pitching us seasonal topics related to this time of year.
This go-around, we are especially interested in seeing Pitches on topics that creators like you would be searching for on Google. Yes, we will even be checking keywords in your Pitch to see how ownable they could be for Tongal with the goal being that these posts will help other creators like you also find their way to our community.
Here is a list of suggested topics, but you can also Pitch us something completely original:
NOTE TO PITCH SUBMITTERS: Please study the Tongal Blog to understand the content we’ve published in the past - and avoid any topics we’ve already covered. Posts tagged ‘Community Guest Post’ were written by your fellow community members! Remember, if your Pitch is selected, you will be the one who writes the final blog post.
The goal of this project is to source ten (10) original Blog Pitches that will then be developed into and written by you as a Blog Post for the Tongal Blog. Keep in mind as you Pitch, the final Blog Post must be between 500-1500 words.
--Target Audience: The Tongal Community and creators across the Internet
--Tone: We are open to a wide range of tones, from amusing to serious
--Exposure: The Tongal Blog and social channels
This Project will be worth a total of $100 and consists of 2 Phases: A Blog Pitch Phase and a Blog Post Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.
PHASE 1: PITCH - Submit your Pitch for a future blog post in 1000 characters or less. Your Pitch should be a distillation of what your final Blog Post will be about, and demonstrate why the topic is a good fit for the Tongal Blog and why you’re the right person to write about it.
The 5 most compelling Pitches will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will each receive $50 to help create the Blog Post. Additionally, upon submitting a Blog Post that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner(s) will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Blog Post Phase. So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Blog Post submission, you will win an additional $50. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Blog Post Phase is announced and the Project is complete.
PHASE 2: BLOG POST - The Pitch Winner(s) will each create a 500-1500 word Blog Post based upon their winning Pitch.
--Blog Post Phase Payout: Upon submitting a Blog Post that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, completing Sponsor notes, providing the necessary release forms, and providing all assets required by the sponsor the Pitch winner will receive a final payment of $50 and have their byline attached to the published Blog Post.
