Objectives

This fast-moving project is all about leveling up your small business. If you're a sole proprietor of a small business, or even self-employed, chances are you're still filing your taxes with a "Schedule-C" form for your business expenses, and that means you're potentially losing out on tons of tax savings... not a smart move for your business or your life.

Our Mystery Sponsor has been the go-to source for expert help for small business owners for years, and now they're introducing a new business formation service that will allow business owners to convert from a sole proprietor to a formalized legal entity (i.e. LLC, C-Corp, or S-Corp) through their already-trusted advisors. There are a ton of successful sole proprietors on TikTok (and, we're guessing, almost everyone reading this brief, too) and we want to create a series of three authentic, relatable, and energetic TikTok videos that create awareness about this new service and education around the benefits of forming a legal entity for your small business, ultimately driving viewers to our Mystery Sponsor's website to learn more and formalize their business entities. It's about damn time.

This project has a super fast timeline – your first video has to be mastered and delivered by Monday 10/17 – and our Mystery Sponsor is looking for a TikTok-savvy production partner who can move as quickly as they can. Be sure to check out the reference videos and talking points in the Background section to get a sense of what we're looking for here, and what your videos must convey. Don't overthink this one: your videos should look and feel like actual TikTok videos, not polished branded content.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

By participating in this project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a pitch. Though most projects on our platform do move forward with a greenlit pitch, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any pitches via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the project team.

Shooting live action or stop motion? Our priority is ensuring everyone's safety, and so please review our COVID-19 Production Safety Guide and check federal, state, and local rules before and during your shoot to make sure your on-set protocols are up to date. We're working hard to keep people working during this extraordinary time, and you should ensure your submission is executable within the anticipated timeline and budget, while also ensuring everyone's safety.
