PREVIOUS T-MOBILE GIFS: These are just a few of the recent GIFs created on Tongal, and they're a good example of how much stylistic diversity and freedom you have in approaching this project. For the static image assets, take a look at these and imagine what a single frame would look like.

Objectives

T-Mobile is excited about the recent Motorola Edge launch, so they're looking to highlight this ultra-smooth, ultra-fast cellphone, and that means we're once again looking for an animator, illustrator, or any other wizard of design, this time to create a single eye-catching GIF for the Motorola Edge that their employees can use on social media platforms.

The goal of this project is just that - a single GIF - and the important thing here is making this phone look and feel amazing in some unexpected way. We want to be just as clever and dynamic as much of the work T-Mobile's had done in the past. We'll also need to keep the GIF under 4.9MB, so if we want the phone to shine, you'll need to balance visuals with text and any messaging you include. Is it a challenge? Maybe. For the messaging, don't go overboard - we're really talking about a couple of key phrases or features, at most, and if you check out the Motorola Edge on T-Mobile's website, you can simply adapt some of the info and copy that's already there. There's also a good chance the Motorola team provides the messaging at the beginning of next week, 10/25 or 10/26, so we may update at that point. Put thought into how you can pair a bit of text with a strong and relevant visual.

Remember that this really is for T-Mobile's employees to use, whether they're SVPs or they're on the front line in a T-Mobile store, and they're gonna share this GIF on their own social feeds with their own family and friends and business contacts. That means your GIF can't feel über corporate. Show loyal customers, and potential new customers, why they should consider the Motorola Edge, but stay true to T-Mobile's distinctive voice, be vibrant and playful, self-aware and confident, yet still professional. T-Mobile's the Un-carrier - cool, clever, even a little quirky. Surprise and delight! The tone, the style, and the freedom of approach mean you can really go anywhere with this concept. We've shared a ton of different cool examples down in the Background, and you'll see there's A LOT of variety.

For your pitch submission, it would help to see a sample GIF or a design that illustrates what you're thinking, but you should also clearly describe the creative approach you would take to showcase the phone. You can use Motorola Edge image assets HERE to showcase the slick design and incredible features this phone has to offer. For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.
