Check out these two recent videos about T-Mobile Career's Culture and Campus. We're not asking you to use this same format - it's more important that you pay attention to the pacing, the energy, and the use of dynamic text and color. You can also look at this 8Bit "Day in the Life" GIF, and this Benefits Transformation GIF as examples of the diverse styles they bring to GIFs. You likely don't want to go this lo-fi with your GIF, but the playful tone could be right.
MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CAREER PATHS: Additional talking points and key messaging will be provided if you're selected, and you'll be able to script the videos before you jump into the full edit.
MORE ABOUT T-MOBILE CAREERS:
Alright, so you've heard T-Mobile - the "Un-carrier" - is a pretty awesome place to work, but does it actually have a career path that's right for you? Not like, you the filmmaker, we mean you the job seeker. See, T-Mobile actually offers people an unparalleled employee experience in many different career paths, so they have a lot of great opportunities for job seekers, but not everyone understands just what T-Mobile has to offer. So, we're here to help T-Mobile talk about a few of the specific career types that someone can pursue: whether in technology, in corporate, or on the frontline (which includes customer care and retail).
For this project, T-Mobile wants to put together three short videos or GIFs for social networks to help prospective employees see what roles are available at the company. We say videos or GIFs because we're seeing this as being driven by VERY dynamic text and motion graphics, and not necessarily dialogue or VO. The main consideration for you is really whether the content you're creating is too big or complicated for a GIF, and you have the ability to approach this from an editing standpoint, using available footage that T-Mobile has, or with motion graphics and animation, or some combination of the two. There are two helpful reference videos in the Background that use footage and dynamic text, and some more information about the roles we're listing, and you can check out some of the available footage HERE, if you're considering that route.
Most of the prospective employees have probably already engaged with T-Mobile's content in some way or another, and maybe they've checked out t-mobile.com/careers, so they're already curious and we don't have to sell them on T-Mobile itself. We're trying to get them to look at specific career paths and apply now. These videos should NOT come across as ads though, but rather more relatable and casual. T-Mobile has a distinct voice that is vibrant and playful, self-aware and confident, celebratory - but still professional. They're the Un-carrier - cool, clever, maybe even a little quirky. We want these videos to feel conversational, especially since we're aiming for prospective employees, and want to come across as authentic and fun. The color magenta (#E20074) is key too; if you haven't already noticed, it's pervasive throughout T-Mobile content. .
For your pitch, we'd like to see a :06-:10 proof of concept video for the Frontline. Once you're selected, you'll be asked for a short script for each of the three career paths (Technology, Marketing, and Frontline), and we can move from there.
