Background

T-Mobile Home Internet Key Messaging:

The key thing is that it's because of T-Mobile's powerful 5G network, and the fact that they're the leader in 5G that they can provide home internet service. If that's the crucial point in your messaging, it helps prove to people that T-Mobile's network actually is different, and that you can trust it, both for your wireless, and for home internet.

About T-Mobile Home Internet:

T-Mobile's 5G Home Internet is fast, affordable, and incredibly easy to set up. It's Wi-Fi that works right out of the box in 15 minutes or less, and even better, it's $50 a month with autopay, with no annual service contracts or extra monthly fees - that simple. T-Mobile 5G Home Internet also has the backing of the Un-carrier, putting people first, treating them right, and changing the rules in their favor.

People have endured price hikes and hidden fees due to limited cable options. T-Mobile's here to give them alternative options for their internet provider. They've built a 5G network powerful enough to go beyond wireless on your phone and because of that, they can bring fast, reliable home internet nationwide, to millions of homes across America all for $50/month.

Objectives

We've definitely come a long way since the days of dial-up internet, but these days, with cable companies setting the standard, home internet service can still be more difficult than it should be - with complicated bundles, contracts, and loads of hoops. In some areas, folks are often stuck with only one provider, and if you're lucky, you have good service, but most times... it’s kinda meh, and you're still paying a lot. People are hungry for choice, and now, with T-Mobile's 5G Home Internet, they have choice... but not everyone realizes that, and that's where you come in. T-Mobile wants to create a suite of three different exciting and humorous TikTok videos to let people know that T-Mobile is using their powerful 5G network to provide Coverage Beyond your phone, so they can bring fast and reliable 5G Home Internet service to homes across America.

The goal here is to create a suite of three different TikTok videos, only :20-:30, that are clever and fresh, and that help build trust in T-Mobile's 5G Home Internet. You'll need to communicate that T-Mobile thinks about coverage differently, so they built their 5G network to be different, and it's because they have the largest, fastest 5G network that they can offer 5G home internet that actually works. The messaging is nuanced - we're effectively using 5G Home Internet to prove the strength of T-Mobile's 5G network overall - and you'll need to use some pretty direct messaging for these. At the same time, the videos you create are going to be used for TikTok Pulse ads, which means they'll play alongside the top performing organic content on TikTok, and being in the mix with the trendiest stuff out there means your videos need to be just as exciting and humorous, however you deliver that message.

We get into messaging more in the Background, but creatively, don't overthink this one: your videos should look and feel like actual TikTok videos, not overly polished commercial content. Check out a previous Home Internet video HERE, and some of T-Mobile's other TikTok content HERE. You probably want to think about talent speaking directly to the camera in some way - or doing something where they're at least aware of the camera, and you'd be smart to think about camera tricks, editing, filters, green screens, or something else that feels unexpected but interesting. We're assuming live action is the most likely outcome here, but if you have some animated or motion graphic elements that you want to use, that's cool. On-screen text is good too, but stick with native TikTok styles.

It's important that each individual video feels unique, and you should probably NOT use the same talent or format for each video. The messaging CAN be similar for each video, but it should be presented in a different way. It's not really necessary for you to have a large team or an extensive production capacity here, and you can shoot your videos on a phone and use visual effects native to TikTok, although using a legit camera and editing software probably still serves you better for post-production. Note that you can't use trending TikTok sounds or music, or the TikTok AI voice, but you can use something similar to those if they'd otherwise factor into your creative approach.

For your pitch, please demonstrate your previous TikTok experience and illustrate how you'd bring this type of platform-led production to life. Although this suite is three videos, if successful, the T-Mobile team might be interested in extending their partnership with you for another round of TikTok videos.
