EXAMPLES OF PAST WW SOCIAL VIDEOS:

Check out this folder for examples of three social videos that WW has used in the past that have been successful for them.

WW is a wellness company powered by the world's leading sustainable weight loss program. It has a 60-year proven track record of helping people lose weight and transform their lives. WW is the #1 doctor-recommended weight loss program, and one of the few commercial weight loss programs that fulfill expert guidelines for gold standard care. It's the biggest, most reputable weight loss program, with over 5 million members worldwide.

In an industry that can often be restrictive and focused on what you can’t do, or what you “shouldn’t” eat, WW's target audience is particularly compelled by seeing what can be done on the WW program. This means showcasing an uplifting, joyous celebration of all things: the delicious food you can still eat, the family meals you don’t need to sit out on, the renewed self-confidence you’ve discovered along your journey, and of course the ultimate celebration of meeting your goal.

After a year of depriving ourselves of all we once knew, people won’t want to deprive themselves now that they are able to enjoy what they love again. With WW, there are no restrictions! Everything is on the menu. You can live your life and still lose weight. WW wants to remind people that now is their moment to go for what they've been waiting for, and to bring their very best self, right when we want to show ourselves off at our very best. And WW is the partner to help them seize this moment and show up as their best self. So far in 2021, WW members have lost over 14 million pounds!

Objectives

To help support an upcoming campaign, WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers) is looking to create four social videos that highlight different aspects of the campaign and ultimately drive people to sign up for the WW program.

We can't share many details about the campaign right now, but we can tell you that the footage you'll be working with will feature real WW members talking about their respective journeys, captured in self-shot videos, largely with smartphones. In addition to the footage, you'll also receive music and other relevant assets produced during a recent WW broadcast video shoot. Your job will then be to use these collected assets to create four distinct social videos that fit cohesively into the larger campaign.

WW doesn't have a mandate on what these four videos need to cover - that's where your editorial judgment comes in! This might mean that each video is a short featurette on a single WW member, incorporating key soundbites from the footage. Alternatively, you could choose to highlight different value propositions of the WW program, utilizing soundbites from multiple members. It's likely that you'll need to color grade the footage, to some extent, and also handle some sound mixing. That said, your video will need to work in a sound-off environment though, so make sure to leverage on-screen text and graphic overlays to make sure the message comes across without sound.

For your sample video, please select and cut one :15 social video (4x5 or 1x1) using provided assets. You can access raw interview footage and b-roll of WW ambassador Kym Whitley HERE, as well as brand assets (font and color guide) HERE. Use this sample video to demonstrate how you'd approach translating the footage into a compelling social video with on-screen text. Your sample video should both tell a story and be designed for social media distribution. Be sure to use platform best practices for whatever format you choose.
