Background

Simpler is always better and that’s exactly the mantra of Scott Bath Tissue. While the other brands keep adding things for the sake of adding, Scott avoids the unnecessary and only makes improvements that REALLY matter.

In keeping with this philosophy Scott 1000 was launched. With 600 more sheets per roll than any other national brand, it skips right past what you don’t need and goes straight to what matters most – longer lasting rolls with more sheets. Scott has recently upped the ante and made another simple yet brilliant improvement with Scott 1000 bonus pack – now Scott 1100. Available at Sam’s Club, Scott 1100 has 100 more sheets!

Scott wants the Tongal community and its fun yet no nonsense approach to make a video that lets people know that they can purchase Scott 1100 at Sam’s Club. Have an awesome time, keep it light and entertaining but please avoid any juvenile or offensive humor. Check out the remainder of the brief for all of the important details.

Details

This Project will be worth a total of $17,500 and consists of 3 Phases: an Idea Phase, a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: IDEA  – Tell us your Idea for a Scott 1100 video in 140 characters or less.  Remember, an Idea is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video.  As always, Ideas should be clever and engaging.  The winning Idea creators will receive $250 each and a 5% one-time residual payment if the winning Video is based on their Idea. (That means if your winning Idea is the basis of the 1st Place Video, you will receive $500.)

PHASE 2: PITCH - Submit your Pitch convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video based on one of the winning Ideas from the previous Phase using:

The most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive $7,000 to help create the Video.  Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be awarded $10,000 (subject to deduction for one-time 5% residual payment to eligible Idea winners). For an example of an effective Pitch, check out The Indie Machines winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 3: VIDEO – Upon submission of their final revised video the Pitch winner will be awarded $10,000 (less any 5% one-time residual payments paid to the Idea winners, as applicable).
