"On a night just like tonight... In these very woods..."

Campfire stories are another beloved staple of summer camp. They have the power to draw us close AND make us question everyone around us. What's true? What's myth? Does it even really matter so long as someone with an overactive imagination runs screaming back to their bunk at some point in the evening?

If you don't already know, this summer Tongal is hosting a virtual Creative Camp for all our community members and everyone is invited to join in on the fun! Each week between now and the end of July, we’re launching a new Creative Camp-themed project designed to fire up your imagination, push your creative boundaries, and build life-long friendships between you and your fellow campers.

Here’s a sneak peek at the type of projects we’ve got planned for you:

What You Need To Know

Objectives

The goal of this project is to tell a spooky story in a 1-3 minute vlog-style video. What does that mean? Basically, your story must be told from a predominantly first-person perspective (whether you do that as yourself or "in character" is totally up to you). Keep it simple and spare or go full Blair Witch Project on us, but whatever you do, make our spines tingle. Your story doesn’t have to be true, but it does need to make us want to check under the bunk bed if you want to take home the top prizes.

Creators from all backgrounds and levels of experience are encouraged to participate. Shooting with anything from a smartphone to professional camera gear is A-OK by us.

--Target Audience: Just us Tongalers!

--Exposure: Tongal website and social channels
