Background

Sana sana

Colita de rana,

Si no sanas hoy,

Sanarás mañana.

If you grew up in an Hispanic household, chances are these simple lyrics bring you instantly back to childhood moments when your parents would sing this song while gently rubbing your boo-boo to make it feel better. You knew the magic of your parents love would help the healing start. You’d instantly feel comforted and be ready to get back to playing.

For generations, Sana Sana, a Latin-American folk song, has been used by Hispanic parents from a range of countries as part of a cherished healing ritual to soothe and comfort children when they get hurt. Parents use the song to ‘invoke a little bit of magic’ to help their children feel healed.

And that’s also why your parents used Neosporin® and Band-Aid® together to help your childhood injuries stay clean and heal faster, every time. Because a simple song with a gentle touch, an ‘all better’ kiss, and the magic of Neosporin® and Band-Aid® – is an act of love and care that will make the pain and emotion go away.

Neosporin® and Band-Aid® are looking to you to help them create touching, emotional videos that will allow people to remember that magical childhood moment when something as simple as a song and the healing power of your parents touch made you feel everything was going to be alright.

Objectives

The goal of this project is to create four (4) Videos – two in Spanish (60-second with a 15-second cut-down) and two in Spanglish (60-second with a 15-second cut-down) – that capture the emotional healing magic of Sana Sana and the physical healing magic of Neosporin® and Band-Aid® and the heritage of love present in both.

You will create one (1) 60-second Video each in Spanish and Spanglish each with a 15-second cut-down, using the same cast and script, that explore the magic of healing in both Sana Sana and the combined powers of Neosporin® and Band-Aid®.

Your Videos should explore the magic of transforming hurt to healing; the nostalgia of a cherished childhood ritual; and the fond memories of care, love, and healing you experienced as a child that you now provide to your children.

NOTE: The two (2) Pitch Winners will be responsible for turning in two (2) distinct 60-second Videos each with a 15-second cut-down, one (1) GIF, and five (5) stills. You can either shoot your Video twice, once in Spanish and once in Spanglish, or once, and record voiceover in Spanish and in Spanglish.

NOTE: 60-second Videos, 15-second cutdowns, .GIF, and five (5) stills are all due at the close of the Video Phase.  Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.
