If you haven’t heard, Lyft has launched a "Wild Card" contest of their own. They're looking to break up the ho-hums of normal advertising and find an exciting new Agency of Record. And get this - they want VIDEO submissions - winner gets the job. We know, Tongal is the antithesis of an agency, and a whole lot more fun, but how could we lose? Awesomeness ensues…
We're looking for filmmakers to create funny, irreverent and energetic Videos up to 60 seconds in length. Videos should NOT be commercials. They should be exciting short pieces based off the winning Idea theme and should take place inside a Lyft car. In the Idea Phase, we asked Tongalers for the perfect theme for filmmakers to build their Videos off of. And now we have it:
Have people ask their Lyft drivers to take them to the Lyft driver's favorite place (park, Opera house, etc.). They talk, bond, have fun.
We want these videos to focus on the drivers. We want to see who these guys are and bring out their fun personalities. When you get in your Lyft, ask your driver:
And here's an added bonus - if your Video is one of the top 25 non-winning submissions, we'll pay for your Lyft ride (up to $50)!
As you can tell, this project is going to go SUPER FAST. Filmmakers will have less than 48 hours to submit their Video (Deadline is Noon PT Sunday June 7th). So check out the objectives tab to find out more!
The goal of this project is to create a fun and exciting Video that embodies the spirit of Lyft. Videos can be any length up to 60 seconds and should take place inside a Lyft car. Don’t create an advertisement. Videos should be entertaining takes on the winning Idea for a theme.
Note to Idea Submitters: We’re not looking for a typical commercial Idea here. We want exciting springboards for filmmakers to build Videos off of. Give us a theme to tie these awesome Videos together and capture the spirit of Lyft as a company.
Keep in mind that if your Video is a chosen as a winner, it will be edited together with other videos as a montage to submit to Lyft. Consequently, your Video should be simple in execution with some fun and short sound bites since only a portion of it may be used.
NOTE: This project is only open to U.S. residents ages 18+. This project is being run solely by Tongal and is not affiliated with Lyft.
--Executional Mandatories:
