You probably know Logitech as a top-notch designer and manufacturer of consumer electronics in the PC, Mac, Tablet, and Music space, but recently they’ve decided to bring their innovative technology right into your living room with the Logitech TV Cam HD.  No need to attach any computer or install any software.  As long as you have an available HDMI port on your TV and an Internet connection (wi-fi or Ethernet), you can Skype video call your family and friends in a relaxed natural setting, as if you were all in the same room.   The amazing wide-angle lens allows multiple people (and pets!) to move around as they please and all fit into view without having to jockey for position.  Plus, the Logitech TV Cam HD rings just like a real phone, so you never have to schedule a video chat.

 

 

Create a short (5 second) animated “bumper” to be incorporated into the end of the winning videos for the Logitech Slice of Life Project.  These animations should be creative, original and able to stand on their own as clever engaging pieces.

The bumper can be any style you wish: Stop Motion, 2-D, 3-D, hand-drawn, you name it. Just be sure to keep it fun and interesting and follow the guidelines below:

--Your bumper can include music and SFX.

--Bumper MUST NOT contain V.O. or dialogue of any kind.

 

 

 

 

This project will be worth a total of $5,000 and consist of two phases.

 

PHASE 1: PITCH – Using text (500 characters or less), images (storyboards), video, and external links (to other supporting assets, i.e., your reel, etc.), give us your Pitch for how YOU would go about producing a Logitech bumper.  The three most compelling Pitches will be "green lit" into production and will receive a $250 production advance to help create their Bumper.  Those winners (upon submitting their Winner's Affidavit and IP Assignment) will also be GUARANTEED to place in the subsequent Bumper Phase.  So, if your Pitch is selected, you will earn a minimum of $250 with a 1-in-5 shot at the $2,000 first place Bumper prize. Remember your Pitch can include any, and all, of the assets mentioned above, but you MUST include a link to some of your previous video work on Tongal or elsewhere to be considered for this phase.  To avoid information cascades, all Pitches will remain private until after the video winners of the subsequent phase are announced.  Alternatively, even if you don’t win the Pitch Phase or choose not to create a pitch, you will still have the opportunity to create a “Wild Card” Video completely of your own creative devices in the subsequent Phase.

 

PHASE 2: BUMPER – Winning Pitch creators from the previous phase will utilize their $250 advance to create a short (5 second) animated “bumper” to be incorporated into the end of the five winning Logitech Slice of Life Videos based upon their winning materials and all other creators are invited to enter a “Wild Card” submission that’s not based on any winning material from the previous phases.  Remember, the THREE Pitch winners are GUARANTEED prizes, as are TWO of the non-pitch video creators.

 

 

1. Bumpers must not exceed five (5) seconds in length. Preferred format is 1280 x 720 HD, 24fps. Acceptable formats are .mov, .avi, .mp4, and .wmv. Acceptable codecs are H.264, MPEG-4, H.263, MPGV, WMV, and DivX.

 

2. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.

 

3. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of Logitech.

 

4. Submissions must not portray Logitech in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Logitech.

 

5. Bumpers must be in the English language or subtitled.

 

6. Limit 5 submission(s) per member.

 

7. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.

BY SUBMITTING A VIDEO ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES SOLELY THE PROPERTY OF TONGAL – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES.  YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEB SITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL.  FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.
