Background

LEGO World Builder is a first-of-its-kind story development platform that gives the LEGO fan community and creative talent all over the world direct access to the LEGO creative team to develop stories, shows, and more. The platform, powered by Tongal, lets you explore, create and collaborate on imaginative and original LEGO worlds – like this steampunk time-travel adventure or this zombie rock opera.

Head to our Discover page to find inspiration for your social banner designs!

As promised, here are some examples of cleverly designed minifig characters that are  “off-spec” from the minifig spec guide, if you choose to go in that direction. While your characters should be styled as minifigs, they don't need to conform to the official spec guide.

Objectives

We’re always looking for new ways to celebrate and showcase our community’s incredible talents, which is why we’re letting YOU design our social media cover art for our official LEGO World Builder channels. Starting in 2022, we'll be using our social channel profile page banners as a way to spotlight our community's artistic talents. Your artwork could be featured across our social channel profiles for three months!

The goal of this project is to showcase the talents of Tongal and LEGO World Builder Creators by featuring one community member's original designs as cover art across our official LEGO World Builder social channels -- Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. No matter your artistic style or medium of choice, we invite you to share your vision for reimagining our social channel cover art! The creative execution is wide open, however, your design should capture one or more of the following themes:

To be considered, submissions must include one sample design for Twitter (1500x500, JPG or PNG). If selected, you may be asked to make certain revisions to your design before uploading versions for the remaining channels. The chosen cover art will be featured across our social channels for a minimum of 3-months.
