** UPDATE: The Video Phase will be extended to accomodate any delays with the Pitch Phase **
In this day and age, chances are, if you're on time you're already late. With pumpkin spice flavored everything starting in August, Halloween starting in September, by October it's already time to shop for the holidays. While it could get complicated trying to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list, the LEGO Group and Toys “R” Us are here to help.
Working with Tongal, The LEGO Group wants you to help shoppers choose the right LEGO play set for everyone on their holiday gift list no matter what age. With hundreds of different sets to choose from, we want you to show gift givers everywhere how to find the right LEGO set for anyone (child or adult) in their lives at Toys “R” Us!
We are looking for one filmmaker to create a suite of EIGHT (8) Videos BEFORE HOLIDAY SEASON under the following topics:
1. Preschool Ages 1 ½-3: (30-45 seconds) We believe that playing is the best way to learn for preschoolers. LEGO DUPLO bricks are double the size of LEGO system bricks making them ideal for a 2-3 year-old! See your child imagine, create and explore whole new worlds with oversize LEGO bricks designed to fit perfectly in small hands.
2. Preschool Ages 4-7: (30-45 seconds) Has your child played with LEGO DUPLO before, but you are wondering if he’s ready for the smaller LEGO bricks? Or, are you just starting out building and want to select the right item?
3. Younger Children Ages 6-8: (30-45 seconds) These children are learning to become more independent and explore the world around them. They are becoming better builders and enjoy building and playing in worlds they create.
4. Older Children ages 9-11: (30-45 seconds) Their lives are super busy and they are expanding their circle beyond their family and with more friends. Interested in LEGO themes that have a good story and LEGO content to watch. Becoming a stronger builder and needs less help – loves the feeling of accomplishment when they complete a model!
5. High affinity LEGO builders and Adults ages 12+: (30-45 seconds) If you are shopping for a highly experienced or fanatic LEGO builder, it’s important to find something challenging as well as unique they can add to their collection. These kids and adults love to build and display their models.
6. How-To Video: (60 seconds) How to read the LEGO Box.
7. Mom focused Video: (up to 60 seconds) Show how LEGO sets are toys that kids can build themselves and stay occupied with.
8. Storytellers Video: (up to 60 seconds) Kids love screen time - maybe a little too much. Show how LEGO sets can extend the movies and television shows kids love so much into the real world and allow kids to bring the fantasy world from their imaginations to life through building.
