LEGO Technic cars and trucks may not be as big as their real world counterparts but they are every bit as fun! With new sets such as the Drag Racer and Getaway Racer, you can go from 0 to 100 in your living room faster than you can say LEGO backwards.

Working with Tongal, LEGO is looking to source TWO (2) concepts for stop-motion videos that will drive awareness for LEGO Technic. We want viewers to feel entertained and show that LEGO Technic lets builders authentically replicate real-world vehicles and structures in LEGO form.

What you need to know:

• The three core principles of Technic building are: realistic vehicle models, cool functions that simulate real life, and challenging building
• Your concept needs to feature either (or both) the LEGO Technic Drag Racer or the LEGO Technic Getaway Racer
• Think of ways you could involve other Technic sets into your concept.
• Do not include minifigures in your concepts.
• While your concept should be appropriate for all ages, it should be targeted towards adults.

 

The goal of this project is to source TWO (2) concepts for stop-motion videos that will drive awareness for LEGO Technic. We want viewers to feel entertained and show that LEGO Technic lets builders authentically replicate real-world vehicles and structures in LEGO form.

--Target Audience: The target audience is accomplished LEGO builders and car fans.

--Executional Mandatories: DO NOT SAY LEGOS OR LEGO BLOCKS. The word “LEGO” should be used as an adjective (i.e. LEGO bricks, LEGO sets).

--Tone: The tone should be in the style of race car fan content – with the focus on cool tricks, speed, etc.

 

--Exposure: LEGO social channels.

This project will be worth a total of $1000 and consists of a Concept Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

 

PHASE 1: CONCEPT – Tell us your concept in 500 characters or less. Your concept should be clever and engaging. The winning concept creators will receive $500 each.

1. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.

 

2. BY SUBMITTING A WRITTEN ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.

3. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of Sponsor.

4. Submissions must not portray Sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Sponsor.

5. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor determine the final rank order.

6. Limit 5 submissions per member, per Phase.

7. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.
