Background

You know that KIND makes those great snack bars where you can see the ingredients right there in the bar. You can also read the ingredients without a chemist there to translate.

Kids love KIND bars and snacks, and so do their parents who want to give their kids a nutritious, wholesome snack, and who want to buy from a company that’s working to help make the world a better place for everybody’s kids.

Parents want to raise their kids to be good and kind people, but they can easily get caught up in the fleeting day-to-day and lose perspective of the larger path they are putting their kids on for the future. Wouldn’t it be great for parents to take a step back and see what a good job they’re actually doing?!

If you’ve been to any KIND sponsored events or seen their employees generously supplying snacks and encouragement, you may already know that they’re a company driven by a mission: to inspire and celebrate kindness everywhere. For KIND, this mission is more urgent every day but they also know there’s so much more kindness in the world than most of us get to see.

KIND knows this is especially true with kids and as parents work hard to instill that sense of kindness in their own kids, KIND wants to show they’re doing a good job.  For this project, you’ll be helping KIND show the world the empathy and goodness that flows naturally from kids everywhere. How cool is that?

Objectives

The goal of this project is to come up with creative Concepts that powerfully illuminate the kindness of kids.

Your challenge is to give us Concepts, in 500 words or less, for how to bring the innate kindness of kids to life. The key is to make that demonstration memorable, fun, and emotionally compelling. Concepts for a scripted video are welcome, but stretch beyond that, and think about how to stage an event, experiment, or dramatic stunt of some kind that captures the decisive and inspiring moments of kindness that comes naturally to kids.

Think of how Always dramatized negative stereotypes with their "Like A Girl" campaign. This campaign expressed a problematic mindset that most people knew about -- but by vividly demonstrating it, they brought the issue to the surface, created new understanding, and made a change of hearts and minds possible.

KIND is looking to have that same type of impact, but they’re focused on the positive idea of kindness coming naturally to kids -- and of kids setting an example, we all can follow! Bring us your Concepts for capturing that truth as it happens, and sharing it in an unforgettable way.
