ABOUT NICKELODEON: Nickelodeon is a premiere children's cable TV channel that has created some of the most iconic kids' shows of all time, including classics like Rugrats, SpongeBob SquarePants, Hey Arnold!, All That, Fairly Oddparents, iCarly, and so many more. The Nick Collective will be focusing on social content primarily for the below brands underneath the overarching Nick umbrella:
NICKELODEON: Nickelodeon is expanding its focus far beyond the traditional cable TV channel. Treating Nickelodeon as a lifestyle brand – with content, products, experiences and more – is the core of Nick's future-forward plan. Video that embodies that distinct Nickelodeon feeling and connects with fans old and young can help drive that message.
NICK JR.: Nick Jr. is Nickelodeon’s preschool brand, targeting kids ages 2-7. In social, the brand speaks to parents. Some of the most popular shows are PAW Patrol, Peppa Pig, Blue's Clues & You, and Baby Shark's Big Show!
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: Join the legendary heroes, Raph, Leo, Donnie and Mikey as these brothers discover a Hidden City beneath New York, learn amazing mystic ninja skills, battle absurd mutants… and always find time for a slice of their favorite pizza! Cowabunga!
SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: SpongeBob SquarePants is an animated series created by marine science educator and animator Stephen Hillenburg. The series chronicles the adventures and endeavors of SpongeBob and his aquatic friends in the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom. The fifth-longest-running American animated series, its popularity has made it a media franchise with over 100M social fans. It is the highest-rated series to air on Nickelodeon. The success of the series has also spawned shows such as Kamp Koral and The Patrick Show - all of which, along with the original Spongebob Squarepants series, make up the Spongebob Universe.
Mayonnaise might not be an instrument - but have you ever wanted to create a mayo-themed homage to everyone's favorite starfish, Patrick Star? Or are you dying to create a bird house version of the Loud House? Maybe you've dreamed of creating the Pickles family out of actual pickles?
Well, if you're craft-focused, savvy with social media, and a Nick kid at heart, you might be the perfect fit to join the existing "Nick Creator Collective" - a group of content producers working across a variety of disciplines (graphic design, stop-motion animation, motion graphics/editing, and live-action) that create thumb-stopping social content for Nickelodeon's many social channels. Since this group was first established in 2021, we've been working to add even MORE amazing creators into the Collective to build on the success of the program. Check out this sizzle video for a fantastic summary of some of the AMAZING work done by the Nick Creator Collective.
This time around, Nickelodeon is looking to add more "makers" into the Collective. These are creators who can craft, build, bake, or sculpt with unique materials, and also film their creations using fun and engaging editing techniques. Check out the Background for some examples of "maker" content the Nick Collective has produced in the past.
If selected, you'll be creating quick-turn social content for the Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and SpongeBob SquarePants brands. The main platforms we'll be focusing on are Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Snapchat (in priority order).
Members of the Nick Creator Collective have exclusive access to a never-ending stream of projects with limitless opportunities of all kinds and sizes across multiple Nickelodeon properties. You can expect anywhere from $500 for graphic design artwork, to $2,000 for video content, and each creative ask will be associated with a reasonable budget and timeline reflecting the quick nature of the individual asks.
