HELPFUL REFERENCE VIDEOS FOR INSPIRATION/TONE:

Objectives

This product will only ship to the United States and Canada, so while you can be based in another country, you must be able to receive the product at a US or Canadian address.

Finding the right furniture for children can tough, especially when looking for something that checks all the boxes: something that's of sound design, with an appealing aesthetic, and an affordable price. Luckily, Max & Lily is a kids' furniture brand that brings fun and functionality together, creating bedroom furniture that both children and parents adore. Founded by furniture engineers with input from their kids, Max and Lily, the brand offers the perfect furniture options for kids of all ages, from younger kids to teens. With designs spanning from classic to farmhouse to Scandinavian, there's something for every taste and room, and now they want YOU to help them spread the word!

For this project, Max & Lily is looking to produce a :30 live action YouTube ad video that reinforces the overall theme and tagline of the company ("furniture kids love, and parents trust") in a heartwarming and lighthearted way. The Max & Lily range combines style, functionality, and imagination to create spaces that both parents and kids love, with lots of interesting features like reversible designs, bunk beds with slides, bunks that can separate, and hidden slide-out mattresses, so a fun, colorful palate will definitely be key in this video. Specifically, Max & Lily wants to showcase at least one cool furniture feature for every age, so do refer to the Background for additional features as you build out your treatment. The Max & Lily team will be shipping the furniture to feature to the greenlit filmmaking team, which you may keep or donate after filming at your discretion.

For tone, you will want to be careful to build context around the world of your ad beyond just showcasing products. In the Background, be sure to watch all of the reference video we've shared. Though they all have a different feel, their core themes are the same in that they resonate emotionally, speak to the wonderment of childhood, and find a way to work the brand/product into the story organically. So this video should tow the line of spreading Max & Lily brand awareness and showcasing cool product features, while making us feel that this furniture will help your family feel great.

In terms of messaging, you'll be creating your video specifically for YouTube as a paid ad, so you should first consider YouTube's ABCDs of creating effective video ads.  All product will be shipped and awarded to the greenlit filmmaker, so this does not need to be factored into your budget considerations, and will also be a fun way to up the ante in your own home after the shoot!

For this project, once a filmmaker is selected, they will be put directly in contact with the sponsor. All communication and feedback between both parties will run through the Tongal platform.
