Basketball, bunny. Ant, wasp, explosion. Nail polish, bag of money, palm tree.
If you immediately recognized these as Space Jam, Antman and the Wasp, and Claws, then this is the project for you.
To celebrate World Emoji Day on July 17th, WarnerMedia is looking for a clever filmmaker that can create a game format video in which you'll present viewers with emoji-style icons and have them try to guess 10 top movie and TV show titles. This video does something very similar, although WarnerMedia is totally open to your own creative interpretation and style, and you can't use audio or video clips from the movies and shows. The 10 titles, and the accompanying emojis you should base your designs on, are linked in the Assets tab.
For your video, you'll need to create original versions of emojis that are similar to the familiar ones we use every day on our phones. Your emoji-style icons can be hand-drawn, 2D, 3D, claymation, papercraft, digital art – any and every medium is on the table, so long as they're clearly recognizable. The video itself should open with a title card, then show the emojis that represent each title for a few beats, before transitioning to a screen with the name of the correct movie or TV show once the audience has had a chance to guess. For the stills, you'll want a single frame that asks the question, and presents the emoji-style icons, without including the answer. Stills can basically match your video format.
