About Burpee:

Through good times and bad, the great depression and world wars, Burpee has been a beacon of hope for Americans for over a century. Burpee was founded by Washington Atlee Burpee in Pennsylvania in 1876 and has been dedicated to enabling customers to share in the magic of nature.

To keep up with the ever changing modern world, Burpee releases their digital catalog each year which includes dozens of varieties of fruits, vegetables, flowers, perennials, herbs, heirlooms and organics. Fun fact: This catalog was the first catalog in the world to offer yellow seed corn! Because they are "a company of gardeners, for gardeners," they also sell garden supplies and offer a gardening advice center on their website. To view the 2021 catalog go here.

Burpee's highly recognized horticulturalists have been continuously bringing innovation to the seed market since 1881. Some of those innovations include a new cabbage variety called Surehead and an improved carrot called Long Orange. Their most recent innovations include the seedless tomato and the "Snackpack" watermelon- a personal-size healthful treat that will bring a smile to any face.

Objectives

Burpee is a trustworthy, reliable, and experienced American seed and plant company that doesn't just sell seeds, but is also a resource and partner to gardeners. Their legacy and heritage has earned them respect among both experienced and new gardeners alike. Burpee seeds and plants are available for all growing zones and all seasons, and they guarantee each and every product too.

The goal of this project is to create an engaging :30 video using existing photo assets that drives viewers to a digital version of their 2022 catalog. The catalog is fully “shoppable,” meaning all products are linked to their website so you can look through it and add products right to your cart. The photo assets, along with Burpee's 2021 catalog, can be found here, and since the 2022 catalog won't be complete until later this year, you'll be working with these assets for your video. If your approach requires VO, you'll need to source that as part of the $3,750 budget.

For this project, once a creator is selected, they will be put directly in contact with the sponsor. All communication and feedback between both parties will run through the Tongal platform. If you have any questions, ask away in the forum.
