With some potential France-based projects in the food and recipe space on the horizon, Tongal is looking to expand our roster of great French filmmakers with a background in that style of content. We are specifically looking for filmmakers who are based in France, who are fluent in French and have a working proficiency in English, and who have done previous work in either live action food or recipe video content. 

We know this is a narrow target, so we totally understand if you personally don't have experience creating these types of assets, but we're betting you might know one, two... or even three friends or colleagues who fit this description. That's why we're looking to the Tongal community to help us source some talented French filmmakers from within your own figurative (or real; no judgement) rolodex.

 

REFERRAL FEES BREAKDOWN:

• $50 "top" referral prize - Upon the close of the submission phase, we'll take a look at the materials submitted with each referral and select up to 5 "top" referrals, and reward the submitter for bringing in great new talent. 
• $100 general referral fee - If you submit someone here, your referrals MUST create a new Tongal account using your unique ID in order for you to automatically receive $100 upon your referral's first-ever Tongal greenlight. This referral fee is valid for ANY project category, even if the project is not specifically for French food/recipe content. You can generate your referral code under the 'Invite A Friend' section on our referrals page. 
• $400 French recipe/food project referral fee - If your referral receives their first greenlight on a French food/recipe project on or before July 1st, 2022, you will earn an additional $400. The project they're greenlit for MUST be a project aimed at French filmmakers in order to qualify. 

RESTRICTIONS:

• Referrals cannot have a Tongal account created on or before February 2nd, 2022.
• You must actually know your referral personally. For example, if you refer Felicia Day, you better know Felicia Day. Tell us how you know your referral in the "Referral" section of the submission form. 
• If you know a filmmaking duo or team, please submit one person from that duo or team only.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your referral.

 

• TITLE/NAME (REQUIRED): Please provide the first and last name of your referral under "Title."
  
  
• REFERRAL (REQUIRED): In up to 500 characters, tell us about who this person is, how you know them, and why you are referring them.
  
  
• CONTACT INFORMATION (REQUIRED): Tell us how to contact your filmmaking friend. We may also reach out to help onboard them.
  
  
• LINKS (REQUIRED): To the filmmaker's previous work in the French food/recipe space. 

• ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (Optional): If it's helpful, submit a PDF with additional information about your referral's past work and/or any other relevant skillsets your referral may have.

YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.
   
   
2. Submissions must be in the English language or subtitled.
   
   
3. Limit 10 submissions per member, per Phase.
   
   
4. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.
   
   
5. In the event that fewer than 50 Referrals are received, the Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest for up to fourteen (14) days at their discretion.
   
   
6. See OFFICIAL RULES for additional contest information, terms and conditions. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these requirements and the Official Rules, the terms and conditions of these requirements shall prevail.
   
   
7. Referrals are only paid out for Filmmakers we end up working with sourced from this project before July 1, 2022.
