Objectives

When you think romance, you automatically think of the auto parts store and car batteries, right? Most people do not associate Valentine's Day with auto part stores, but now we are looking for unexpected concepts that can make that connection! Advance Auto Parts is having a special sales event for Valentine's Day, focused around their DieHard car batteries, and are looking for video concepts which connect the need for car batteries with the love we share for one another. You're using this love/romance angle as a hook to get their attention, and you want that hook to be really fun, engaging, and possibly even quirky. Start to think about what car batteries and love have in common, they both keep us going, keep us energized, and they can both cause sparks. You can include romantic love or between two people who share a love for working on their cars. While these concepts can be romantic, sweet, and even humorous, we will want to make sure to focus on the sale and the car batteries that Advance Auto Parts can supply.

If you need an example, imagine a man and woman in an Advance Auto Parts store both reach for the same DieHard battery, their hands touch, they share a smile, he gestures for her to take the battery, cut to they both walk out of the store sharing glances until they reach their cars, the women gets into a fancy Ferrari 458 Italia and drives off, while the man chuckles to himself as he gets into his reliable Toyota Camry. This example works because it is a classic meet-cute story which ends in a surprising and laughable twist ending, while we are looking for concepts along these lines, DO NOT use this example as part of your concept.
