Background

Think about some of the best supercuts and pop culture-based memes you've seen. We referenced Pennywise in the gutter above, but there are a lot of fun formats to play with here.

Objectives

WarnerMedia is looking for multiple different editors to create fun and shareable supercuts and meme videos from movies and TV shows currently running on TBS, TNT, and truTV.

These supercuts and memes should play broadly with the theme of social distancing, and encourage people to stay home and watch all the great content available with WarnerMedia. Your videos should remind people that they're nostalgic for older content like Seinfeld and Family Matters, or get them excited for new episodes of shows like Tacoma FD or the uncut version of The Lost World: Jurassic Park. For supercuts, maybe this means a compilation of beloved movie and TV characters parked on their couches; for memes, maybe it's a video cutting together Pennywise luring a bored Jake Peralta into the sewer with the promise of a great movie, like this.

There are a wealth of movie and TV titles at your disposal, and the ask here is pretty open-ended; video clips, soundbites, characters, and still images are at your disposal to chop into supercuts and memes as you see fit. You can incorporate motion graphics, overlays, and animation to tie content from different sources together, if that's your jam. Maybe you've always dreamed of editing together a true superhero battle royale bracket that will get fans at home super psyched, or maybe you want to create an empty New York City with b-roll from Seinfeld, Friends, and Brooklyn 99 to remind people it's okay to stay indoors. We're not here to tell you that's weird (although it kind of is), we just want to see you make it happen.

To see what's airing and streaming on the channels right now, check out the links below, and keep in mind the movies are updated frequently:

You can find the full list of movies currently airing on TNT and TBS in the Assets tab. Please note: these movies change fairly frequently, so the list in the PDF may not be exhaustive or 100% accurate.

You must use the assets in THIS FOLDER to create sample clips/memes for your Pitch.

Our priority is to make sure everyone is safe. Along with that, we’re working really hard to keep people working during this strange time. Our advice here is to submit only if you feel you can do something within the anticipated timeline that ensures everyone's safety given today's reality.

Because this project has two separate sets of deliverables, please read the rest of the brief carefully.

DELIVERABLES: Editors will be selected to create either video supercuts or memes. Depending on which you're selected for, your deliverables will be different.

We encourage you to pitch for both supercuts and memes; just please upload those as separate submissions using the dropdown menu.

TIMELINE: For the full project timeline please see the Assets section.

EXPOSURE: Videos will be posted on WarnerMedia-owned social media channels.

TONE: Funny, clever, ironic, nostalgic, goofy, a little weird –  really anything can work as long as it's entertaining!
