Apart from stylistic openness, the fun part here is the tone and the content. T-Mobile's got a distinct voice that is vibrant and playful, self-aware and confident, celebratory - but still professional. They're the Un-carrier - cool, clever, maybe even a little quirky. We want these videos to feel conversational and, especially since we're featuring employees, authentic and fun.

MORE ABOUT T-MOBILE CAREERS:
Simplicity goes a long way, sometimes, but other times, you really need a little flair to get people excited. This is one of those times. T-Mobile - the "Un-carrier" - is a pretty awesome place to work, and the T-Mobile Careers team has a lot of quotes and a cool photos from their employees that back that up. They'd really like to share some of the best stuff they've got on social media, but text all by itself is kind of boring, you know? And posting an image or two on Instagram doesn't exactly stand out either. T-Mobile really wants to surprise and delight, and for that, we need video - something with color, movement, music, and a dynamic energy. So here we are, turning to you.
The goal of this project is, ironically, pretty simple: you can either create four :15-:20 videos that stylishly bring to life four different employee quotes, or you can take a series of employee photos and turn them into four different :07-:15 photo slideshow videos. We see this as two different asks; for the quotes, we'll need someone who's got skills as an animator or motion graphic designer, but for the photo slideshows, we probably need more of an editor. That said, it is possible that one person could do both, and you can certainly pitch for that.
For quote videos, T-Mobile has provided four quotes in the Background. Each quote needs its own video, and ideally, all of the quote videos should feel like they're part of the same series, BUT that doesn't mean every video should look the same and use the same style. There are numerous ways to create a repeatable format for these videos, and you have a LOT of creative freedom here. Perhaps you open with a recurring prompt, like, "What do employees love about working at T-Mobile?" It's not mandatory, but a thought starter. Otherwise, ANY artistic style could potentially work, and in fact, T-Mobile shared this motion graphic trends video as an example of eight different styles they're open to, and there are many, many more that you could use.
Magenta (#E20074) should be the hero color in quote video designs, so keep that in mind, but think about how you'll engage an audience through movement, design, sound, and music. How does the text appear and move? What do we hear? Does it need stock photo visuals or some other design elements? We can provide images of T-Mobile employees, if you wanted to incorporate that somehow, or you can use Storyblocks for stock photos and video too. Details on that in Project Requirements.
For slideshows, T-Mobile has provided some employee photos in the Background too, with more to follow. The photos will fall into four different themes or events, and you'll need to put them together in some really cool way. Similar to the quote videos, each slideshow should feel like it's part of the same series, but the videos should have their own identity and style. This video is a *very basic* example of a slideshow that T-Mobile did previously, and what they want now is something that feels a lot more elevated and interesting. How do we introduce each photo? How do we connect them? Intercut them? Transition between them? Stylize them or enhance them with sound and music? We don't really need text, but if you have a cool idea for text, we're open to it. These videos will be shorter than the quote videos, since we're not communicating a message, but the runtime is flexible.
For your pitch, please choose either creative ask, and submit a :07-:15 second sample video (16x9) to illustrate what you might do. You should use Quote #1 from the Background for Quotes, or the example photos from their Summer 2022 Bellevue HQ celebration provided for the slideshow sample video. You can use whichever photos you think work best. You can then use a Treatment to explain how you'd approach the other videos / the series. T-Mobile has more of these they'd like to do, and if you do a great job on these, they're totally open to continuing your series with additional quotes or photo sets.
