EBLOCK FUNCTIONALITY & DEMO - These demo videos provides a through breakdown of what the EBlock sites looks like and how the live auction functions. You will want to make sure and incorporate elements of the site in your videos.
E INC is an automotive company that specializes in both wholesale and retail distribution of automotive vehicles through their digital platforms. Their digital dealer-to-dealer auction platform EBlock combines a buying experience that dealers know and love with the extensive online audience that wholesalers demand - all in real time - with a number of important and helpful features. One feature in particular is the focus of this project: Watchlists. E INC is looking for a creator who can take some existing assets and combine them with motion graphics to create an exciting video that explains how Watchlists work on EBlock, in up to 90 seconds.
In terms of the functionality, and the creative, it's helpful to understand a little background. While the EBlock site does have set auction times, every Tuesday and Thursday at 1:30PM, there are a lot of vehicles up for auction at those times, so they do still allow dealers to see all the cars that will be up for auction prior to the auction day. If they see something they like, dealers can actually add cars they're interested in to a Watchlist, which allows them to easily track the cars the moment they go up for auction. This is especially important because cars at auction on the site can sometimes be sold within 60 seconds, so if you're buying, you don't want to miss your window of opportunity. The Watchlist function works almost like a dating app for dealers, where they can swipe left to signify they're not interested in a car, or swipe right to signify that they are interested - and thus, want to keep track of that nice sedan with the fancy rims and the leather seats. That could be important for the creative, so keep that in mind. E INC users really value the excitement of live EBlock auctions, so the brand is constantly looking for ways to breath life and energy into its content, and the dating app parallel of this functionality could be a lot of fun to play with, while still allowing you to to educate viewers on how to use it to their benefit.
We're not looking for the typical motion graphics videos here, EBlock has been there and done that, which you can see in their previous Combined Auction video. While they enjoy the overall look of this video, this time they are looking for an elevated execution on the simple explainer video, with the goal to make this video fun, exciting, and dare we say comedic. Think about the car dealers who are watching these videos, who are tired of the basic online auctions and how they work. They are looking for something exciting that makes them want to log in and chase finding their next new vehicle purchase. EBlock will provide all the necessary screen recordings and assets of how the site works and how the specific Watchlists feature operates. Your job will be to use those assets to bring energy and levity to the functions of the online platform through both the script and voiceover, as well as the dynamic motion graphics and transitions.
