REFERENCE VIDEOS & SAMPLES OF PREVIOUS ENDCARDS FOR INSPIRATION OR TONE:
Feel free to skip to the end of these videos for the endcards.
Advance Auto Parts creates and sponsors content across multiple social channels, and it not only involves what Advance sells in its stores, but it also highlights the people who use their products. The brand partners and influencers that they work with post amazing content that many thousands of people view, so Advance would like to make sure that their branding is consistent, prominent, and memorable. Since branding is often the last thing that viewers see, they're looking to create a strong and adaptable endcard. With that in mind, we are looking for talented motion graphics designers or animators that can use their existing logo and brand colors (yellow, black, and white), to produce something dynamic and interesting, adaptable for use on whatever platform or profile where it might be shared.
The goal of this project is to create multiple versions of a :05 endcard that is memorable, dynamic, and powerful; while also being easily adjustable so that partner logos can be easily switched in or out in the future, like in this example, which uses a very simple and functional endcard that shows both the Advance and the DieHard logos. Advance is really looking for an endcard that shows their logo paired well with a partner logo. While the new endcard will be used mainly on Youtube content, Advance will need versions that work in multiple aspect ratios to ensure they can be used for content on social channels like Facebook, TikTok, or Instagram. Apart from those versions, you won't be responsible for creating anything that includes actual partner logos; you may use one when developing your concept, to demonstrate how it might work with a partner logo, but Advance itself will actually incorporate the partner logos when the endcard is needed in the future. With that in mind, all project files must be completed within Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere, and will need to be delivered at the end of this project in a manner that is organized and simple accessible.
Creatively, the sky's the limit here - or should we say, the road is wide open? Either way, we'd love to see a range of automotive related ideas that will inevitably end on the Advance Auto Parts logo paired with a partner logo. Maybe a hood opens up to reveal the AAP logo in place of an engine, or a car drifts across the black tar of a road to reveal the logo in the skid. You can be as elaborate or as minimalist as you'd like, and they're open to different art styles or forms of animation. While sound is not required, planning to add some instrumental or automotive sound effects may just make the endcard that much more impactful. Always keep in mind that the endcard will need to be able to include an interchangeable graphic for partners and influencers, but your video should still work without a partner logo.
For your pitch, you should include style frames that demonstrate the type of animation style you'd like to use. For more examples of previous Advance endcards check out the Background section as a reference while developing your ideas.
