PREVIOUS T-MOBILE GIFS: These are just a few of the recent GIFs created on Tongal, and they're a good example of how much stylistic diversity and freedom you have in approaching this project. For the static image assets, take a look at these and imagine what a single frame would look like.
Social media's got plenty of talk, but we all know it's visuals that excite people, so - animators, illustrators, and all you other wizards of design - this is another T-Mobile GIF project for you to run with. In this project, T-Mobile wants us to create a mix of GIFs and static images that their employees can use to showcase what their DreamTM employee advocacy program is up to. As always, they want this to be something really clever, eye-catching, and dynamic.
The goal here is for you to create 4 GIFs and 2 static images that use interesting visuals to communicate something about the different campaigns that make the DreamTM stand out. There are three campaigns, and you'll make at least one GIFs for each campaign. The extra GIF and the images that you create will be assigned by T-Mobile after you're selected, but will fall under one of these campaigns:
The static images aren't meant to be taken from your GIFs, so those'll need to be unique. Graphic design is important, since design will also factor into the GIFs, but including actual text with key messaging is important too. For that messaging, you can simply adapt some of the info that's already on T-Mobile's website, taking a line or two of description or critical details, and working that that into your content. This means you won't need to come up with entirely new copy; instead, put thought into how you can pair copy with a strong and relevant visual.
The fun part here really is the tone, the style, and the freedom to approach this in many different ways. T-Mobile's got a distinctive voice that is vibrant and playful, self-aware and confident, but still professional. They're the Un-carrier - cool, clever, even a little quirky. Any GIFs or social pics their employees put their name on have to embody that, so this is is NOT just about putting white text on a magenta background - these need to be dynamic and have a lot of character to surprise and delight. They're also not "ads," as these should feel more casual than that. We've shared a ton of different cool examples down in the Background, and you'll see there's A LOT of variety.
In terms of the differences between GIFs and static images, there isn't one stylistically - T-Mobile's looking for a lot of bite-sized content and that means some of the simpler messaging will just be presented with a static image instead of a GIF. Those static images are unique assets though, and they should be just as interesting and playful as the GIFs.
For your pitch, you'll need to submit a proof of concept GIF for Project 10 Million. Don't necessarily focus on an overall description of Project 10 Million, but focus on something specific that it offers - the T-Mobile website we linked to (and the video within it) has a number of claims you can use.
