Objectives

Stepping into the world of self-care is an important moment for all young adults. It’s that moment when you realize that your body is a temple, and the more you take care of it now, the better you'll feel throughout life. This is especially true when it comes to oral care, and SmileDirectClub not only takes great pride in guiding its young club members through this process, but they make sure to address many of the specific questions that come up, like: How do I use a water flosser? How do I know if my aligner fits? Will smoking or vaping affect my treatment? What should I expect FROM these treatments? If a question's been asked, SmileDirectClub likely has an answer, and they want to get it out there with a suite of informative videos.

The two dental professionals featured will be Dr. Payam Ataii and Dental Hygienist Tracy Butler; two prominent people in the dental field that have partnered with SmileDirectClub to spread dental health knowledge. Each video will address one frequently asked question and use the selected expert's knowledge to create a thorough, engaging answer, utilizing text and motion graphics as needed. Please note that only ONE expert will deal with each question, so there will be no inter-cutting between the two at any time. The footage provided by SmileDirectClub is professionally shot, and intended primarily for YouTube, and will be made available to the greenlit editor. There will be six major topics covered in these videos, and you can find them in the Background/Additional Details section below.

Each YouTube video will be 1-2 minutes in length, with a :30 second cutdown of each for social media usage. Though each cutdown video will be the same content across all social platforms, editors will be expected to export unique versions for each platform that addresses app-native safe spaces and caption requirements, etc.

In addition, there will be two more "Follow-Up" YouTube videos (with an accompanying social cutdown each) required (1 for each expert), where they will address any final questions that were left as comments on the other six YouTube videos. This footage will be shot after all the other videos have gone live on the platform, so the greenlit editor should plan to set time aside a few weeks after the bulk of this project has been completed to finish these last two edits.

For your pitch submission, we've included a folder of assets with some of this footage for you to create up to a :30 sample video to show the Sponsor how you'd approach these edits. You can download all the assets you have to work with HERE. For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.
