Objectives

When using the internet is an every day commodity for practically ever business out there, everyone wants to avoid being hacked, having their identity stolen, or having their entire platform erased in the blink of an eye. That's where DigiCert comes in. DigiCert is the most-trusted global provider when it comes to security solutions in the digital world. This year they are working on a new re-brand campaign focused around providing "digital trust" and based off a blueprint aesthetic that outlines how the company works for their customers. They have now updated their company values and are looking for an impactful, sleek, and creative video to introduce these new values.

With this one minute animated video, we want to convey trustworthiness to anyone interested in DigiCert, while bolstering a sense of community. While this video will be used as recruitment tool with prospective clients or potential employees, we want to make sure this does not feel like a run of the mill, boring company intro video. DigiCert creates creative and high-quality content, so this video should reflect that by grabbing the audience's attention while conveying their trustworthiness by using their new tagline: “Digital trust for the real world.” They have also developed a clever and engaging acronym (CARE) to help everyone easily connect with and remember the new values which your video should center around:

To see further descriptions of each of these, read through the current blueprint art direction for this campaign. While we want to emphasize CARE here, we want to ensure this video does not come off as cheesy or sappy, but rather a term that solidifies the protection and concern that DigiCert has for their customers.

DigiCert has provided a Script they would like your treatment and style frames to be built from (the script should only be modified or shortened to fit within the 1 minute time parameters of the video.) They have also shared their previous values video to share the general sense of tone, BUT they are open to different conceptual approaches, as long as the brand guidelines and messaging come through. This could be pure 2D animation or dynamic motion graphics and text over live-action imagery. You could even integrate 3D animation in a creative way, if you believe it could be done effectively given the timeline. Your visuals will be instrumental here in creating a dynamic story so your animatics will be the best way to communicate how you plan to express the script. Your animation may be strong enough to not even need any VO talent, but if you believe your video will be more impactful with narration, DigiCert will provide a VO artist.
