For this brief, we are looking to hire one part-time Community Marketing Specialist Independent Contractor to assist with our marketing efforts and work hand-in-hand with the community team to better the Tongal experience for everyone!
Responsibilities:
Edit community blog posts and occasionally write original blog content
Assist with Tongal’s social media, including brainstorming and designing posts, writing social copy, and delivering content against our social content calendar
Assist in writing targeted email blasts in Mailchimp
Assist in building and maintaining key relationships with community partners and creators
Help evaluate submissions in Community-led projects against company goals
Help to brainstorm, surface, and drive new content and community development initiatives
Maintain ongoing familiarity with all of the current open projects and community pages on the Tongal platform
Skill Profile:
Tongal is looking for help with community marketing, so who better to turn to than YOU, our awesome creative community? The Community Marketing Specialist role would see you working with the Community Marketing Manager to assist with ongoing digital marketing efforts, source and create entertaining and engaging social content, write and copy edit blog posts, produce livestreams, and help manage key relationships with our creators and partners. The ideal candidate will be passionate about identifying opportunities to retain and grow our community of talented global creators. If selected, you will be invited to enter into an independent contractor agreement to work remotely for $20 per hour, up to a maximum of 20 hours per week for an initial period of up to 3 months.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous focus on spelling and grammar
Ability to master the Tongal voice and willingness to incorporate feedback

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:
MUST be available to work up to 20 hours a week
MUST be available for at least 2 hours each week within Tongal's standard operational hours to aid in communication (weekdays 9am PT - 6pm PT)
MUST be willing to work for $20 per hour
MUST have a minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in marketing, community management, communications, or related field
MUST demonstrate your ability to master the Tongal voice and marketing ingenuity through two skill-based tasks as part of your Application (See Submission Requirements for more details):
Sample Social Copy: Using this asset, write social copy for Tongal’s Instagram channel that will adhere to our brand voice and appeal to our creator community
Sample Marketing Idea: Share one new idea you have for meeting Tongal’s community marketing goals of attracting, engaging, and retaining creators to our platform and projects

Community Marketing Specialist Contractors will not be entitled to any of the benefits that Tongal may make available to its employees, including, but not limited to, group health or life insurance, profit-sharing or retirement benefits. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.
In the event you utilize any third-party materials, such as music provided by a third-party music provider not provided by Tongal, you must obtain full written license and consent from the owner of such third-party materials and provide such license and consent forms to Tongal.

Submissions must not portray Sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Sponsor.
Submissions must be in the English language or subtitled.

The Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest.
In addition to the judging criteria stated in the OFFICIAL RULES, Pitches will also be evaluated on that member's ability to fulfill the role based on past work experience.
