Background

This summer, Tongal is once again hosting a virtual Creative Camp for all our community members and everyone is invited to join in on the fun! Each week between now and early August, we’re launching a 6-part series of ‘just-for-fun’ projects designed to fire up your imagination, push your creative boundaries, and build camaraderie between you and your fellow Tongal creators.

About MasterClass

Founded in 2015, MasterClass started with the idea that everyone should have "access to genius." The online education platform provides educational, inspiring, and engaging classes taught by the world’s greatest minds in cooking, film, writing, music, business and more. With more than 60 classes that dive into processes, techniques and philosophies, MasterClass.com helps students progress more rapidly towards their own mastery, explore new passions, and learn new skills.

Objectives

Whether you’re a writer, editor, filmmaker, or all-around creator, you probably have a few tools under your belt that make your everyday life as a creative professional a little easier. The goal of this project is to share with our greater community an indispensable tool you use in your area of expertise and why you can’t live without it.

What the “thing” might be is entirely up to you. It can be something that helps jumpstart your creative-thinking process, makes your Treatments stand out, keeps you organized on set (here’s to you, storage clipboards!), or makes steady-cammin’ a breeze. It’s up to you, as long as it falls under the umbrella of helping you do what you love better or more efficiently. We want to share your invaluable tools with the rest of the community so they, too, can benefit.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Creators and artists in general, and the Tongal community of filmmakers, writers, editors, and animators
