Background

Brisk® is known for two things – delicious iced tea and incredible stop-motion animation commercials featuring the likenesses of everyone from Eminem to Ozzy Osbourne. Embracing their love of all things animated, Brisk® is asking the Tongal community come up with new subjects and situations that should happen at a more “Brisk” pace.

Objectives

Create a short (30-60 second) animated video of something happening at an “Extremely Brisk” pace.  Submissions can revolve around any topic, for example, animations could be "Brisker" retellings of famous stories, historical events, or any other agonizingly slow moving situations that deserve a shot of "Briskness."

Details

This project will be worth a total of $25,000 and consist of two phases so there’s a place for all of you to contribute, regardless of your skill set.

PHASE 1: IDEA –  In 140 characters or less, tell us something that you think needs to happen at a more “Brisk” pace. Set up a familiar situation, story or event and describe why it needs to be, or how it could be, made more "brisk." Remember, an Idea is not a detailed script, it is a brief synopsis or distillation of what will happen in the video. As always, Ideas should be clever, engaging, and fun. Winning Ideas will receive a 5% residual payment of every winning video they are used to generate. DUE: April 7, WINNERS ANNOUNCED: April 15.

--Keep in Mind: The unique thing about animation is that it is not bound by the physical confines of live action production, so, if you think your submission needs a blue unicorn roller figure skating in Rockefeller Center, then by all means...

PHASE 2: SUGGESTION – Think you can improve the winning Ideas? You've got 140 characters, five chances and exactly 24 hours to give it a shot. Just click the submit button, select the Idea you want to improve from the drop-down menu and type your suggestion. If the Judges think your suggestions adds value to the Idea, they'll pay you $20 for it. It's that simple.

PHASE 3: ANIMATION – Select one of the 10 winning Ideas and create a 30-60 second animated video for Brisk® based on it. Try not to think of the Idea you are working off of as a script, but rather, a central thesis that you should build your animation around. Alternatively, you may choose to enter a “Wild Card” submission not based on any winning Ideas from the previous phase. The animation you submit can be any style of your choosing – whether it’s hand-drawn, mixed live-action, 3D, or even the iconic stop-motion claymation found in traditional Brisk® ads. DUE: May 27, WINNERS ANNOUNCED: June 3.

--Important Note: All animations should feature a lead (human, animal, plant, alien, etc.) whose "mojo" is restored upon drinking Brisk®. for reference, check out these Rocky and Bruce Lee ads. As always, creativity and originality are king so make it interesting and have some fun with it.

--Music: Tongal has partnered with Audiosocket, a boutique music licensing agency representing more than 1,400 emerging bands, composers and record labels. Audiosocket tracks will be available to Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Tongal members' submissions to the Brisk® Project.  Tongal members are encouraged to browse the Audiosocket catalog, available at http://audiosocket.com/.
