Background

Real Mothers. Real Stories. Real Life. That's Motherhood Maternity's ethos, and since 1982, they've had mamas' backs (and bumps) when it comes to what to wear, from belly to baby and beyond. And when it comes to breastfeeding, Motherhood Maternity believes that all boobs are good boobs; all boobs are created equal; and all food is good food. So you do you, mama.

Objectives

Every August, Motherhood Maternity celebrates all things baby-feeding for National Breastfeeding Awareness Month. This year, in addition to celebrating, they also want to address some of the biggest questions that come with lactation and breastfeeding, especially for brand-new moms or moms new to breastfeeding, like: how do I know if I'm producing enough milk? How can I make breastfeeding more comfortable for me and my baby? What kind of side effects should I expect? And what the heck is a nipple shield?

Luckily, last year Motherhood Maternity proposed all of these questions and more to Jennifer Ritchie, an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, author, and full-time working mom. A professional breastfeeding specialist trained in everything from latching issues to painful nursing, and low milk production to induced lactation, Jennifer has helped thousands of new mothers successfully feed their babies through community-based and long-term support. In other words, Jennifer knows her stuff when it comes to lactation, and helping moms is her mission.

Motherhood Maternity is looking for a Tongal editor to pull key answers around top breastfeeding and lactation questions from last year's interview with Jennifer and create six :15–:45 vertical videos for TikTok. Your videos should be direct and straightforward, and should present a creative but app-native or organic solution to a few challenges the original source video poses – namely, converting 16x9 footage to 9x16; making the content as engaging as Jennifer's answers are informative; and obscuring the Ron Jon surfboard logo in the background with a simple graphic the Motherhood Maternity team can overlay text onto in-app when they upload.

For the purposes of your pitch, we've included a folder of assets for you to use to create a proof-of-concept to show the Sponsor how you'd approach the mini-series. We've also listed out some of the top questions answered in the interview in the Executional Mandatories section. Each of your six videos should answer one of these questions.
