Gillette has recently created an entirely new category of razors designed for male body groomers: the Gillette BODY Razor. They are shaped to provide a more comfortable shave, offer more lubrication for better glide, and have ergonomic handles that don’t get slippery when wet. Gillette wants to show the male tattoo community that the BODY razor is the perfect tool for getting the most out of their ink.
The goal of this project is to create a witty and authentic 2-4 minute video that provides interesting and relevant information to a guy who is interested in the best ways to groom the hair on and around his tattoos.
Your video should feature the voice of a guy with legitimate expertise on the subject, who has developed his own grooming routine around and over his tattoos, and can impart that wisdom to others interested in doing the same. Your video should show the Gillette BODY Razor.
The Sponsor is open to seeing creative executions! This doesn't have to be your traditional instructional video, but we're looking to you to help us find "That Guy" who has expertise on this subject and can share it with others who have tattoos or are thinking about getting tattoos.
The Sponsor is open to seeing tattoos on various body parts that need shaving (not the head or the face, please). Remember, his tattoos should be tasteful.
CASTING NOTE: We would like you to find a masculine guy of 25 - 35 years old. Maybe supporting a sharp haircut. He has healthy skin and should have some subtle body hair on arm, chest etc. Not too model like or super cut body. Needs to be someone guys can relate to.**
Please see "Casting Specs - Visual References" under the Assets Tab and check out other videos on Gillette's YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/user/gillette - You must include your top casting choices AND photos of their tattoos / body hair in your Pitch submission.**
TATTOO NOTE: 1) Please avoid anyone with tattoos that could impose on other licensing entities (i.e. a Marilyn Monroe tattoo), and only cast for generic designs, and 2) you will need to secure a release from the tattoo artist as well (please download the form from the "Assets Tab").
SCRIPT NOTE: You're also strongly encouraged to include TALKING POINTS in your Pitch. As we’re looking for authenticity in your Video, a word-for-word script isn’t required but you’ll need to share the tips/tricks/advice from your “expert” to be approved by the Sponsor, if selected as the Pitch winner.
--Key Marketing Messages: Get more out of your tattoos with these body grooming tips.
--Target Audience: Guys with tattoos and body hair. They aren’t die-hard, heavily tattooed dudes, but may be thinking about getting more tattoos on their body soon.
--Executional Mandatories:
--Tone: Informal but informative, witty and light-hearted.
--Product: Please feature the Gillette BODY Razor in your video. Below are reference links to the correct Gillette BODY products to use. The hero product is the Gillette BODY Razor, whereas the blade replacements and shave gel are supporting family products. The Sponsor will overnight a set of 2 to the Pitch winner for use in their production.
--Assets: Hi Res Product Shots, Logos and Casting References are located under the Assets Tab.
