Best Fiends, the hit puzzle adventure game with RPG elements, depicts an entire world of mythical, mischievous creatures based on real-life animals who can be just as interesting and magical as their in-game counterparts.
Perhaps you know of Sir David Attenborough’s legendary narrations, the amazing National Geographic stories, or I’m sure you’ve seen the hilarious Honey Badger video! Well, this is your chance, Tongalers, to pitch us your concept on how we can tell factual animal stories in an informative and entertaining Best Fiends way!
The goal for this project is to come up with a repeatable “edu-tainment” format to tell real-life informative and educational stories of the animals that the Best Fiends characters are based on.
Your concept should illustrate a format for telling these animal stories in a way that is both entertaining and educational. In addition, your concept should feature a specific example using one of the animal species that the following three characters are based on, who are also present in the banner above!
Rose, the Orchid Mantis
Lacey, the Lace Wing
Bam, the Caterpillar
Footage for the eventual video could be animation or even real-life B-Roll footage of these animals, so you will need to explain how we will address both the real animal elements as well as how we will put the Best Fiends touch and flare to it.
--Target Audience: Current Best Fiends players, women and men, who are 18-50
--Tone: Informative, funny, subversive, and playful
Project Details: This Project will be worth a total of $750 and consists of 1 phase: A Concept Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.
PHASE 1: CONCEPT – Tell us your Concept for a YouTube series featuring real-life animal facts about the species of Best Fiends characters in 250 characters or less. The winning Concept creators will receive $250 each.
