Background

When it comes to developing the skills needed to become a “good person,” every parent wants to give their kid a leg up. They know it’s important to be good at math, science, reading, writing, but just as important is their personality. Parents really want their children to grow into kind, nurturing, caring individuals, who are socially adept with good listening skills and an innate sense of empathy.

The first place kids start to hone these skills is during playtime. A child’s work is play, such as playing with dolls. Dolls help their imaginations start growing, and they are a way for children to interact with the world in a tactile and responsive way, especially now that there is a baby doll on the market that actually responds back! Babblebabies are the latest innovation in doll play, with 80 unique and authentic human baby sounds that teach children how to be attentive, nurturing caretakers, and good listeners. Mothers love to see their children captivated for so long with Babblebabies, practicing how to be social, caring, and of course, loving.

One more great thing about Babblebabies -  They are made by the doll experts trusted for years: Madame Alexander. Check out this link to see how adorable, and very lifelike these Babblebabies are!

Madame Alexander needs an exciting video to introduce Moms and Grandmothers to these innovative Babblebabies.  The video pulls on the emotional connection, and communicates that Babblebaby is a perfect companion for their little girl that engages and promotes social interaction.

PHASE 1: IDEA  – Tell us your Idea for an engaging, adorable Video featuring Babblebabies in 140 characters or less.  Remember, an Idea (What is an Idea Phase?) is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video.  As always, Ideas should be clever and engaging.  The winning Idea creators will receive $250 each and a 5% one-time residual payment for any winning Video based on their Idea. (That means if your winning Idea is the basis for the 1st place Video, you will receive $350– see Video Phase Payout details for more information.

PHASE 2: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What Is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video based on one of the winning Ideas from the previous Phase using:

The 1 most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive $2,500 to help create the Video.  Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase.  So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $7,000 (subject to deduction for one-time 5% residual payment to eligible Idea winners). For an example of an effective Pitch, check out Erik Beck’s winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 3: VIDEO – The 1 winner from the Pitch Phase will create a Video up to 60 seconds based upon their winning Pitch.

--Video Phase Payout: The winner of the Video Phase will earn the following prizes: 1st place $7,000 (less any 5% one-time residual payments paid to the Idea winner, as applicable).
