Eczema affects almost 15 percent of infants and toddlers – and for many people, it stays with them throughout their adult life. As common as it is though, too often we miss the human stories behind the statistics, and forget that treatment for many is more than skin deep.
AVEENO® was founded on the belief that natural ingredients have the power to soothe, heal and even transform, both inside and out. Now Aveeno needs YOUR help to bring stories of mothers and their children using Aveeno to treat eczema to life.
===SPLIT===
Craft a video that breathes life into the true story of a Mother and Child living with eczema.
Share how AVEENO® was founded on the belief that natural ingredients have the power to soothe, heal and even transform, both inside and out.
The goal of this project is to create engaging, authentic 90-second videos (with 30-second cutdowns) that show eczema sufferers everywhere that treatment means more than just addressing symptoms. Aveeno believes that by treating Eczema, you can also build confidence, help women feel beautiful, and assure them they are doing their best for their children.
NOTE: The 90-second video and 30-second cut-down are both due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.

Please Note: This project has an Exhibition Phase whereby the winning Videos will be made public on the project page for one year and everyone will be invited to vote on them. The filmmaker will receive an additional $1,000 after the Exhibition Phase closes for whichever Video receives the most votes.
This Project will be worth a total of $27,000 and consists of 4 Phases: A Story Phase, a Pitch Phase, a Video Phase, and an Exhibition Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.
PHASE 1: STORY – Tell us in 500 characters or less a UNIQUE and AUTHENTIC Story of a mother and child dealing with eczema, and how Aveeno has been a part of their story. Please include a picture of your Story subjects in your submission (required). The winning Story creators will receive $500 each and a 5% one-time residual payment for any Video based on their Story. (That means if your winning Story is the basis for the 1st place Video, you will receive $450; for the 2nd place Video $300 total) – see Video Phase Payout details for more information.
PHASE 2: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video based on one of the winning Stories from the previous Phase using:
If you win in the Pitch Phase, you will be required to make your own travel arrangements to film the Story winner from the previous phase.
The 2 most compelling Pitches will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will each receive $5,000 to help create the Video. Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winners will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase. So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $6,000, at a minimum, and have a chance to compete for the $9,000 First Place video prize (subject to deduction for one-time 5% residual payment to eligible Story winners). For an example of an effective Pitch, check out The Indie Machines winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.
PHASE 3: VIDEO – The 2 winners from the Pitch Phase will each create a 90-second Video based upon their winning Pitch, along with a 30-second cut-down.
NOTE: The 90-second video and 30-second cut-down are both due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.
The Judges will score the 2 winning Videos submitted by Pitch winners to determine the standings for the Video Phase. Remember, the 2 Pitch winners will receive prizes.
PHASE 4: EXHIBITION – All winning Videos will be available for public voting during the Exhibition Phase. The Video with the highest number of Votes will earn an additional $1000! The Exhibition Phase will end in July 2016.
--Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will earn the following prizes: 1st place $9,000 and 2nd place $6,000 (less any 5% one-time residual payments paid to the Story winners, as applicable).
