EDEALER CORE VALUES

Objectives

E INC is an automotive company that specializes in both wholesale and retail distribution of automotive vehicles through their digital platforms. They are committed to the development, delivery, and relentless refinement of the online buying experience in order to help maximize efficiency and offer cost savings to buy everyday consumer cars and some high end luxury cars. Their retail solutions platform, EDealer, provides dealers with best-in-class digital products that seamlessly integrate to connect dealers with customers by creating websites that contain consistent, accurate, and merchandised online vehicle inventories, plus they help dealers navigate search engines to make sure they get noticed. EDealer is now looking for someone to create an animated educational video for their customers and partners that can highlight EDealer’s solutions and value.

Videos about the building off website and digital advertising are not always seen as particularly fun or exciting topics which is why we want to challenge you to find a way to make this video not only interesting to watch, but also easy to digest and understand. These types of videos typically use a lot of technical jargon which can make you feel like you are sitting through a lecture. There is a balance to be made here in entertaining viewers while educating them on what EDealer is, what they do for their clients, and why their services matter. EDealer is a one stop shop for car dealers, by creating websites for dealers, providing guidance on the best way to list and market their vehicles, and by utilizing search engines, they are able to how effective their tools can be for business. E INC has provided links to some of the sites they have created for dealers - which you should plan to utilize in your video. They also have a preliminary script ready for the video, but would like for you to make the script engaging and fitting with graphics you plan to show. You can see the product site links and preliminary script in the Background Section.

You'll want to rely heavily on motion graphics or 2D animation, along with an informative and upbeat voiceover to guide your video. E INC gravitated towards this reference video, previously made Tongal, BUT they are open to different conceptual approaches. You may consider a live action framing device, with on-screen talent that can introduce the subject matter, but that should not be the only way you communicate key information, you can even consider the use of still photography, if appropriate. This content is for car dealers, so think of the best ways to capture their attention: do we start with headlights blinking to reveal one of the product sites or do you show cars race across the screen as the VO talks about organic website traffic? E INC is open to seeing clever visuals so make sure to include what elements you would use to make this content exciting in your pitch.

In success, there's the possibility, and the intent, for this pilot to continue with seven additional educational videos, made for a comparable per episode budget level, so you'll want to lay a strong foundation here.
