TopCoder is hosting the 2009 TopCoder Open Video Experience contest, and anyone coming to Las Vegas for the TCO can participate!
The objective of the contest is to create a Video exemplifying the best TCO Experience. You can be loose and creative in your interpretation of this but we’d prefer to not see 3 minute videos of Siegfried’s Tiger (not that we don't want to see the Tiger...)
Show us the action in the arena and the various panels, functions and events, interview your fellow TopCoder members, get some “beauty shots” of the Las Vegas strip - whatever you think best represents the TCO’09 experience!
Elements of the winning videos will eventually be combined to create a TopCoder sales & marketing video, so give us your best stuff!
Videos must be shot in HD (720p preferred), contain sound, be edited when turned in, and NO MORE THAN 5 MINUTES IN LENGTH. The standard Flipcam output of mp4 or .mov files are acceptable for submission.
Although it is Vegas, the videos cannot contain nudity, violence, profanity, or other offensive material. Also, casinos have a strict policy about filming on the gaming floor so please be aware of the casino’s policy and careful not to violate it.
You can use your own camera or borrow one of the 10 Flip UltraHD cams we’ll have on site to capture the action at the TCO, both in the Arena and around Las Vegas. Then, put together your video and upload it to Tongal either from your own PC or at the Tongal booth in the arena, and we’ll be giving out $1000 in prizes for the best TCO’09 Video “Experience”.
Plus we’re going to give away five of those Flip UltraHD cams in a drawing on the final day of the TCO. You’ll just need to become a Tongal Member, then check out and return a camera to be eligible to win. Cameras can be checked out in 3 hour intervals. This will give other members a chance to participate. The sign up to get a camera and compete will be at the Tongal Booth in the arena.
